今回ノリで土佐清水から横浜まで絵描きにいってきました。
ほんとはその後北の方の紙漉き場を廻るつもりでしたが自分の動きがずれ込んで
バイク旅には寒すぎる季節になったことと色々な面でまだまだリサーチ不足なこともあり、来年いくことにしました。
ということで結局は絵描きにいくだけとなり。
シンプルな旅になったと同時に旅の性質もがらっと変わったのでした。
2005年に出会ってから、何回か会っただけの人生の先輩！？
池田 伸という人物
この人物は ぼくの山寺志賀高原横手山頂で１０年間 Love&peace&ride というイベントをやってきたんです。うちの妻はたまたま横手山頂で働いていたので このイベントのことをぼくより知っています。
っでこのイベントの最後の夏なぜか２３０７mのあの場所にぼくもいました。なんで夏山にいてたか全然思い出せないけど。
そのとき池田さんはつい先週かなんか山で遭難して帰ってきた話を聞かせてくれて、その晩いろいろな旅の話からぼくの進み方は思いつくから面白そうやし行ってるだけやで、というと それ大事やと言う そして、こう続けた自分は地べたが呼ぶって言ってるって言う ほんで、呼ばれてるのに行かなかったり行けない理由はいっぱいあるけど、あんまり行かないと呼ばれなくなる！って言うてた。こんな話は初めて聞いたなんか肝に命じた感じがした。２０代のころ人の声で一番よく聞いた声bob marleyも、こんな言葉を残している。
人の心の中には 自分自身に語りかけてくる内なる声が宿っている。
人はその内なる声に耳を傾けねばならない。
人が何かをするとき、そこには正しい道と間違った道とがある。
自分自身に語りかけてくるその内なる声をよく聴けば、
正しい道がわかるんだ。
そしてその内なる声というものは、誰にでも聴くことができる。

このときわかってたぼくも声は聴かないと、だんだん聞こえなくなるという続きがあったことは知らなかった。バイクの免許取った次の日に絵〜描きに来いや〜って笑
やっぱりおもしろい！地球の上！で起こること。
そんな感じでノリで行ってきました。
現場はマービスタガレージ、まだ工事中！
ここはHOT BIKE japanの編集部でありカフェでショップでガレージにもなる。ちなみに池田さんはHOT BIKEの編集長でもある。今回ゆっくり話したかったのですが２週間ベッタリ連むことになるとは、
そしてぼくの絵はその場で即興で作っていくのでオーナーにはどんな絵ができるかわからない それどころかぼく自身も全くわからないということがネガティブなことになっていて、なかなか仕事として声を掛けてもらいにくいのです。（あたりまえやけどね(^^)）
そんな中久しぶりにこの仕事がまわってきました！
丸腰で現場に行ってなにかやらかして帰って来るこちらにもそうとうリスキーなことですが 依頼する側のリスクもかなりのものなのです。
現場を見てやれる事を探していく
せっかくやるんなら面白そうな事を探していく、建物内はまだ描けそうなとこはなく
木枠のある表のシャッター、聞いてみると道に面してはカフェであとでガラスが入るというのです。
ガラスの内側のシャッターに絵があると閉店後シャッターを閉めるとギャラリーが出てくるって面白いし、一つ前の個展が美術館で次の個展が路上でっていうのもちょうどやりたかった感じ！
茶室〜道へと会場は変わりましたけど、
茶道もストリートも！
どちらも道の上という意味ではつづきモノですね〜笑！
面白いのでいつもの様に直ぐにいくつもの絵が出てきます。
普段から砂浜に大きな絵を即興で描いているのでたいがいの大きさの画面は瞬時にできるのです。
あとは足場の問題や画面が凸凹などそれと下処理だったり環境によって時間がかかってしまいます。
早朝から日が暮れるまで毎日、ほんとに楽しかった！
ヤモリをつかまえて持って帰る小学生や犬の散歩、ジョギングから通勤 通学、帰路、親子
車、歩き、自転車、バイク、
国道の向こう側を行く人 直ぐそこの歩道を通る人
絵を描き始めて２日目に氣付けました。
とおりゆく人の歩くスピードが変わりました。
ゆっくりゆっくり通り過ぎていく、顔も変わりました。
Tele Vibrationがもう始まっていたのです！
子供が保育園で作ってくる七夕の笹に短冊で まだ内容もぼんやりしてる個展Tele Vibrationをやるお願い事をした。今はポロッククラズナー財団からサポートを受けてるがその先に創作を透して社会と関わっていく事をすると決めていた。もちろん今までも個展をしてきたのですが なにか全く違うやり方をさがしてたのです。その中で個展Tele Vibrationはこれからまず3〜4年の間していく個展の軸になるものでそれ以外は全くの空白状態でなにも決まってなかった笑！そして突然氣付いたのですもう個展は始まってる！
と同時に七夕の願い事が3年連続叶ってるおっさんにもなれた….そしてこれがTele Vibrationの第一弾LiVe on Street 今そこで生まれたものをどんどん目の前に出していく その創作はliveで約１週間その間 地域の一部になり人の無意識の一部になり、地球の一部でもあり、宇宙の破片になる。
こうして個展Tele Vibration、 LiVe on Street が創出されました。
LiVe 自体は2016,10/26でいったん終わりましたがモノはこのまま残ってます。

そしてマービスタガレージは年内には完成するのか？
誰にもわからない
連日モクモクと自分の制作を進めているRider でありWriter作家であり人間であり ものつくる人 池田氏を後に….(^^)
いい感じに仕上がったのはat homeなステイ先でのリフレッシュと居心地のいい場所があったから。まるで自分家に居るみたいに過ごせた。
しかしそのおかげで自分家のみんなどうしてるかなぁって後半特にテキパキ素早く動き長時間集中できたのはホームシックのおかげ。

Conclusion
I travelled to Yokohama to paint, all the way from Tosashiizu as the mood grabbed me.
Initially I had planned to visit paper mills in the north part of Japan after painting, but the season turned too cold to travel by bike before I got ready to move, and I had not done enough research at many levels. So I decided to do the paper-making trip next year.
And so the purpose of this journey was to paint.
When the purpose turned simple, the character of the journey drastically changed as well.
I met Shin Ikeda in 2005 for the first time. Though I have seen him only a couple of times since then, I respect him as someone who has much more experience in life!?
Shin Ikeda –
He produced an event called Love&Peace&Ride for 10 years in a row on top of Mt.Yokote, my “mountain temple”. My wife knows about the event better than I do because she used to work at the mountain lodge.
For some reason, I was there at the height of 2,307m, during the final summer of the event. I cannot at all recall why I was there in summer, though.
At that time, Shin told me a story of how he was stranded in the mountain and survived a week before or so. And that same night, as we talked about journeys, I told him that I always go for a trip simply because I come up with an idea and it looks interesting. Then he said that’s important, and that he describes it as “the ground calls me”. And he said there could be countless reasons why you didn’t go when there was a call, and if you didn’t go many times, the ground would stop calling!
Bob Marley, whose voice I listened to the most among human voices during my 20s, left a message:
This is to the people that have a voice inside of them that talk to them, you know, that is the voice that people must listen to, because in everything you gonna do there is a wrong way and a right way, and if you listen good you will know the right way, because there is a voice inside talking to everyone, seen?

I understood these words back then, but I never knew that there was untold part of the story that if you keep not listening, gradually you become unable to listen to the voice. Shin sent me a message to “come here to draw something” the day after I got my motorbike license.
As always, what happens on the Earth! is so amusing!
So that was how I went there, being grabbed by the mood.
Mar-vista garage was where I painted, and it is still under construction!
This place will be the editorial office of Hot Bike Japan, a cafe, shop and garage. Shin is the chief editor of the magazine. I hoped to have a deeper conversation with him, but never imagined to spend most of the time here together.
As I draw pictures ad-lib on site, the owner of the building and even I have absolutely no idea what it would be like. That being a negative point, I have few requests as a work unfortunately (or understandably, haha).
Anyway this work came to me after so long!
It is of course risky for me to travel to the site unarmed, do something and
return. At the same time, the requesting side is also taking a huge risk.
I look for things I can do on site.
As I came all the way to do this, I look for something interesting. I found no possibility painting inside the building.
There was a shutter with wooden frames facing the street. Shin said this side would be a cafe and he was glazing glasses in the frames later on.
It would be interesting if I paint the shutter inside the windows, because when they shutter, a gallery will appear. Plus, having an exhibition on the street following a museum was exactly something I wanted to do!
Though the venue shifted from a tea ceremony (the way of tea) room to street, these exhibitions are in a series as both are done on a “way”,haha.
As I began enjoying it, some pictures came forth in a blink like always.
I can instantly draw pictures in almost any size because I regularly draw huge pictures on the beach ad-lib.
What takes time is the environmental factors such as bad footing, bumpy surfaces or pre-treatment.
I had real fun every day, from early morning till the sunset!
Elementary school kids caught a gecko and bringing it home, people walking dogs, jogging, commuting, going to school and going home, a parent and child,
People passing by car, bicycle, motorbike, on foot,
People on the other side of the road, on the side walk in front of the garage…
I noticed on the second day of my painting that people’s walking speed changed.
They were passing by slowly, and the expression on their faces also changed.
Tele Vibration has already begun!
When my son brought back a branch of bamboo for Star Festival, I wrote my wish to have a solo show “Tele Vibration”, although I did not yet have a clear idea what it would be like, on tanzaku (a small piece of paper). Though I am now receiving a support by the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, I had decided to get involved with society through my creative works after their support finishes. I did have exhibitions before, but was seeking a totally different way to do it. A solo exhibition “Tele Vibration” was, in my plan, the core of the series of exhibitions that I would have in the next 3-4 years, and that was all what was clear then. And suddenly I realized the exhibition had already started!
At the same time, I became a man whose Star Festival wishes came true three years in a row… and what I am doing now is the first stage of Tele Vibration as a LiVE on Street, and now I am producing what comes out here in this moment. The live of creation continues for about a week and during that time, it becomes a part of the community and people’s unconscious minds, and also is a part of the Earth and a piece of the universe.
– this is how the solo echibition Tele Vibration LiVe on Street was created.

And..is Mar-vista garage going to be completed before the end of the year?
Nobody knows.
I left Shin, a rider, writer, human being and creative traveller, who is continuing his creation silently day after day.
My work was nicely done thanks to the refreshing time and the comfortable space in a cozy atmosphere at Shin’s home. I could stay there as if I were at home.
And that is why I thought about my family a lot, and because I got homesick, I could stay alert and concentrate on work for long hours, especially during the latter half of the live.
