和紙と染色、それをサーフボードの技術で一つにした宇宙の破片。
兄や親友がサーフボードシェイパー(ビルダー)なので、環境の中自然に産まれて来ました。
何年も研究を繰り返し2004年から本格的に作品として残しています。
公には、山口県立萩美術館で2013〜2014の一年間 、小高 良作の茶室(偶然が縁となり宇宙になる)で公開する機会がありました。
The technique of surfboard shaping combined washi and dye into a piece of universe. These works have come to world spontaneously due to my environment having my brother and a very close friend being surfboard shapers.
After a continuous studies for years, I have made pieces fully as my works since 2004.
I had a chance to show them publicly at Hagi Uragami Museum in Yamaguchi, Japan, for a year during 2013 and 2014 in an exhibition “Ryosaku Kotaka’s tea room: Coincidence turns an ‘en’ and becomes universe”.
