色のテストふたたび
三種類の媒染剤で それぞれの色の変化を見てみます。
媒染剤によって同じ染料でも、出てくる色が全然違います。
このことで、染料の種類×媒染剤の種類=発色する色のレパートリーになるわけです。このことをよく知り 組み合わせていけたら染色表現の世界が広がると感じています。
Testing the colors again to see how the colors come out as a result of using different mordants. One dye can be fixed onto fabric with different color depending on the mordants. That means: numbers of colors times numbers of mordants equals the variation of the colors come out. If I know the mechanism better, my expression will be widened a lot.
染色開始！まずは、筆でやってみます。これは四度目の写真。
染めて 乾かして 染めて 乾かして 染めての繰り返しで色の強さを調節していきます。もちろん職人さんにアドバイスを頂きながら進めて行きます。
ここの職人さんは経験から細かなところにまで気付いてられるので この工房での作業は 本当にためになります。
ここのバティックは世界の舞台に 送り出されています。

Began dyeing. At first, I used a brush. They control the depth of color by repeating dyeing and drying again and again. The photo shows my 4th time. The craftsmen, of course, give advices to me while I go through these processes. There are so much to learn here because the craftsmen working at this shop have great knowledge based on their experiences. Their batiks are worldwide products.
