しかし美しいな〜
植物の繊維がシート状になったもの
原料を収穫して、蒸して最初に繊維を見る時
美しいな〜っていつも思う
ヘグって水につけて美しな〜
炊いて晒して美しな〜って思う
紙になった時この美しさそのまま持って行きたいな〜っていっつも思う
この紙の美しさは
繊維の美しさ
原木の美しさ
自然の美しさ
四季が育てた美しさ
地球が公転した1年の記録がここに
宇宙に生きる美しさがここに
It’s truly beautiful.
These are the plant fibers in a form of sheets.
When I first see the fibers, after steaming the raw materials that I harvest
I’m always impressed with its beauty.
I find its beauty as I scrape the outer layer of the barks
I find its beauty as I cook it and rinse it.
Each time I hope to maintain this beauty even when these fibers become papers.
The beauty of these papers are
the beauty of fiber
the beauty of plant
the beauty of nature
the beauty nurtured by seasons
In these papers remains the trace of Earth’s one year in which it revolves
And in these papers remains the beauty of living in the universe.
