作品のための紙の原料です。
春に芽ぶいた楮の枝は、夏の間に一気に成長します。冬になって葉が落ちてからこの枝を刈り取り、紙の原料とします。そうこうしてるうちに、地球は、太陽の周りを一周しているのです。
自分の作品づくりは、地球や太陽、宇宙のサイクルに合わせて始まっています。
This plant -Kozo- is the material of papers for my works.
Kozo shoots sprout out in spring and grows quickly in summer. When the leaves fall in winter, I harvest the stalks and make paper material with them. As all these changes are happening, the Earth makes its round around the sun.
My work follows the cycle of the Earth, sun, and the whole universe.
