Every day is a good paper making day

Morning sun directly shines in my studio built on the slope of a valley.

I have started making this year’s papers.

I always, always think

that papers are the outcome of plant fibers intertwined into a form of sheet.

By peeling the plant barks off

scraping, cooking, washing,

beating, soaking in water,

scooping,

placing on a board,

and drying,

a sheet is formed

then the plant starts growing new shoots again in spring to repeat the cycle

and keep on its life.

Flowing and riding with the rhythm of universe (four seasons)

The Earth goes around the sun

Continuing the rotation that is never the repetition of the same thing

That is the rhythm of universe

I think a tradition breaks off once

After it’s not practiced for two generations time
