I ended up moving during the time when the media was reporting a record-breaking intense rainfall
That made me to finish up my trip in a hurry
On my departure, I told my family I would be back before my kid’s birthday
The trip that passed in a flash was topped off by the doting father’s plan.
In a rainy dim early morning light
I leave Nagano city and head for Niigata, Joetsu.
I took a short break on the way near Myoko
The rain drops were huge to hurt me
even though I was wearing my rain suits.
When I reached the Sea of Japan,
strangely, it wasn’t raining
So I was extremely happy
to take the rain suits off and rode some hundred meters to be hit by the rain.
By the time I get to Itoigawa, the rain was already super heavy
I enjoyed only a 30 minute long ride without rain.
From the sky to the ground / From the ground to the sky
The water flows down the mountain to pour into the ocean
I also become a part of it
and encounter the dynamic movement of water.
The road is closed for heavy rain. Detour again detour and now I don’t know which prefecture this road belongs to.
The license plates of these cars show they are from Fukui, Shiga, and Nagano.
Though I traveled in the great nature by a vehicle called motorbike, it became a good experience as I could do so safely.
What I found most outstanding along the way was wild hydrangea.
The road led me to Koga
The rain miraculously stopped in Ise
and changed to fog in Kumano
and changed into clouds drifting in the sky of Shingu, where I finally reached Pacific Ocean
